Comedians

Mike Marvell         Appearing Thursday, November 10, 2011
Too old for bicycle shorts and too young for AARP? If so, Mike's your guy; from finding morning people tough to live with (why do they wake up with a smile on their face?) to home repairs gone totally wrong; Mike takes the audience through a day in the life of a normally abnormal guy. Shopping with the wife and tales of 25 hap, hap, happy years of marriage are all fair game as Mike counts down the days to the convalescent center ... and care-free days of lukewarm oatmeal and sponge baths.

Jon Wilson         Appearing Thursday, November 10, 2011
Jon Wilson burst onto the national comedy scene in 2010. Born in Kentucky, transplanted to Chicago, and now living in Minnesota. Jon is a walking ball of funny contradictions and neuroses. He has performed at the famous Hollywood Improv and the Comedy Store. He will be making his national TV debut in 2011 on Showtime's special, "Louie Anderson Presents."

Paul Strickland         Appearing December 8, 2011
Though Paul is mostly unimpressed by the world around him, his annoyance never translates into "staged angst" - in fact, it's obvious that he is most happy when transforming a world filled with frustrations into a room full of laughter. His relaxed delivery of one well-crafted joke after another makes him both a favorite of audiences and respected by fellow comics. Paul is the smirking, lovable grumbler in everyone's life, but he's so good at it you can charge admission.

Russell Ehrett         Appearing December 8, 2011
Tired of hearing so many jokes about the differences between men and women? Yeah, so is Russell Ehrett. Like a fresh breath of comedic air, Russell's act is like nothing you've heard before and nothing you'll forget. Bouncing from the caustic to the playful and landing somewhere in between the intellligent and the moronic, Russell delights in taking his audiences down avenues of comedy that aren't even listed on the map. No matter the crowd or the venue, Russell's comedy is sure to have a little something for everyone.

Mary Mack          Appearing Friday, December 30, 2011
Folk humorist Mary Mack spends half her time convincing her Minnesotan mother it's okay for her daughter to be a comedian and the other half touring the country in her sweet, 400 dollar Dodge Neon--affectionately referred to as "Street Heat." Mack and her mandolin sing-alongs, have been featured on the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show, XM's National Lampoon's Comedy Network, and Minnesota's Polka Spotlight. After winning the 2005 California's Funniest Female Contest, she went on to appear in the Vancouver Comedy Fest (2007), HBO's Andy Kaufman Awards (2007), and Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival (2009). Mack had her national TV debut on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and NBC's Last Comic Standing. A true Northerner, Mack, however, started her career in Nashville, and now splits her time between Los Angeles and Minneapolis, where she recorded her 2nd album "Either You Wake Up or you Don't" at her home club Acme Comedy Company. This album was followed with "Pinch Finger Girl: A Tragedomedy" recorded in Madison, WI (2009). Mack's endearing stage presence and off-kilter, musical surprises, stemming from her background as former music teacher and polka bandleader make her popular with a wide array of people, including  the deep fry cook at the Minnesota State Fair Mini Donut Booth who purchased a total of twelve Mary Mack CD's. These sales, in turn, bought enough coffee for Mary to create www.marymackcomedy.com and The Coffee Blogs, available on www.youtube.com/marymackcomedy!

Scott Long         Appearing January 12, 2012
A self-proclaimed bi-polar comic, Scott Long is Bad Scott and Good Scott. Born and raised in Iowa, Scott has created a unique comedy performance with his two characters. He uses two different microphonesso not to confuse the audience of which Scott he is at the moment. Scott is a Sketch writer for the NFL on Fox - for the Network feature Franks Pranks. He has also been on Fox Sports Radio, ESPN Radio, and the Bob & Tom Show.

Steve Gillespie         Appearing January 12, 2012
Hailing from Minneapolis, where, after receiving a graduate degree in something or other, Steve became really bored and started telling jokes into a microphone. He first began honing his craft at the Acme Comedy Club, and has quickly emerged as a fast-rising talent in one of the strongest and most-competitive comedy scenes in the country. Steve's boyish good looks and somehow darkly-innocent outlook bring audiences his world of often silly, sometimes melancholy ... and always hilarious takes on living his life.

Chris Barnes         Appearing February 9, 2012
Barnes can best be described as a high-energy comic that will take an audience and keep them laughing as he interprets his experiences of life. Barnes has worked and laughed with such people as John Mendoza, JJ Jimmy Walker, Andrew Dice Clay, Sinbad, Bill Cosby, and many others. It's no surprise Barnes has become a national headliner in such clubs as Dangerfield's (New York), Rascal's (New Jersey), Zanies (Chicago), Chaplin's (Detroit) and Comedy Cafe (Milwaukee).

Brian Hicks     Appearing February 9, 2012
Brian Hicks is one of today's premier comedians, performing at comedy clubs and concert venus across the midwest. With his fresh up-tempo style, Brian has shaken up the comedy scene with his own thought-provoking views of what people find funny. He uses comedy as a conduit to explore some of life's less-discussed topics. Brian has an uncanny instinct and undeniable talent to make audiences laugh.

Emily Galati         Appearing March 8, 2012
Emily Galati is one of the fastest-rising female comics in Chicago - playing clubs in the city, suburbs, and throughout the midwest. Galati's intelligent humor and relaxed style perfectly combine to capture the grievences of post-college life. Her show is fun, witty, and the perfect commentary on what its like to watch her lazy generation find success.
