Make your plans to attend Egg Harbor's Girlfriends Great Eggscape (escape with an Egg Harbor twist) weekend. A few activities start on Thursday, May 13th (like Comedy Club) ... with the bulk of the fun and laughter scheduled for Friday night and Saturday. Whether recreation or relaxation is your goal ... there are plenty of opportunities. Your time is your own here.
Following is a list of some of the planned activities, as
well as what you might do with unstructured time to yourself.
Wine Tasting Reception - meet fellow escapees (we have clever ways!) and laugh 'til you cry. Meet the Great Eggscape staff and pamperers, and earn "valuable" raffle tickets. (Friday night)
Arts and Crafts - who has time to craft at home? Make your own beaded bracelet. Design and produce your own exercise hoop.
Art & Wine Crawl - jump on the trolley and visit two wineries and two working artists. Taste test some of the local wines, see a pot thrown, and more.
Hooping – remember the old Hula Hoop? We've done it one better. Take this fun class and learn about a "magic" hoop that can help with your fitness goals. And if you are so motivated, you can create your own hoop to take with you.
Outdoor Activities - take an invigorating nature hike,
special rates for beginner kayaking, take a village walk or relax to the sound of silence while you finish that novel. "Silence," ever heard of it??
Comedy Club - start your long getaway weekend with a laugh. Join us Thursday night.
Karaoke - crooners, rockers, whatever your song style, this is the place to belt out your favorite tunes. Could a famous lounge lizard be amongst us?
Shopping Extravaganza - Live music, trunk sales, special discounts, wine tasting, treats, and a variety of seminars.
Cinematherapy - finally, time to yourself to watch chick
flicks. We'll have a group movie - with popcorn on Friday night (if you're interested). Our movie library is open as well, so feel free to wear your PJs and put your feet up (nice pedicure!)
Fireside Fun - ah, a crackling fire at the outdoor fire pit,
and just plain relaxing and of course... mmmmm S'mores!
Raffle Tickets/Door Prizes - throughout the weekend
you'll earn raffle tickets participating in spontaneous fun. Save them for the closing ceremonies on Sunday where the first item given away is a free return trip to next year's event. We'll also raffle off various door prizes generously donated.
Dance Classes - Zumba anyone? How about belly dancing?
Golf - special rates for golfing all four days of our event,
plus low-cost lessons for beginners.
Shop - many of the local businesses have special activities planned ... trunk sales, appetizers and wine, reps to visit, live music, tent sales, and more.
