Pumpkin-themed everything has been on the shelves of stores recently, but it’s time to cozy up, because it is finally fall and we’re getting excited about the season. It’s also a perfect time of the year to visit one of the best Egg Harbor Wisconsin hotels and resorts when you pick the Landmark Resort! Our stunning property shines bright with the beginnings of the harvest season, and you’re going to want to bring your loved one with to see what we’re talking about!
When you think of fall throughout the Northern states, you think about the beautiful treetops as they magically transform from vibrant shades of chartreuse and forest green to a stunning kaleidoscope of colors ranging from reds, yellows, oranges, and even deep dark purples. As the skyline shifts and before the leaves drop to the ground, you’re going to want to experience this in person. It’s what autumn is all about, especially if you get to enjoy it hand in hand with your sweetheart. We know that fall can seem to drag on, work might be bustling, but the harvest is about reconnecting, bountiful foods, and fall fun before the cold season begins. Speaking of fall fun, bring your sweetie to the Pumpkin Patch Festival this October!
Here at the Landmark Resort, we want you to experience the most of the fall harvest and foliage. As it’s the only time of the year you’ll be able to see this metamorphosis take place in front of you, we recommend that you stroll around our site. With over 40 acres of trails that run throughout our property, this is an exceptional time to get to see the fauna up close. Something you can do to remember your trip to one of the top Egg Harbor Wisconsin hotels and resorts is to collect a few of your favorite fallen leaves to bring home with you. You can keep them in a scrapbook or photo album or you can matte them in a picture frame and hang it on your wall as a reminder of your sweet and cozy Door County getaway.
For even more foliage fun, head out on a fabulous leaf peeping tour! Set your sights on a beautiful scenic drive. We’ve curated a drive for you to get the most out of your stay. Head north on Hwy 42 towards Sister Bay, but make sure to stop at Peninsula State Park along the way. You can even take some food to go from the Carrington Pub and Grill for a fantastic picnic! Hop back in the car and proceed to Sister Bay where you’ll turn on Hwy 57, drive down the Lake Michigan side of the peninsula all the way until you hit Hwy 42 (just before Sturgeon Bay). Then head up the rest of the coastline viewing the beautiful fall colors, once you make it back to the Landmark you can enjoy a tasty drink at the Carrington. Whether you opt to enjoy our drive or choose to create your own, you’ll love spending time with the love of your life while experiencing all that autumn in Egg Harbor has to offer.
Currently, we’re at about 20% full color according to the fall foliage report, but you can check up on it here. The foliage report at this time means that we aren’t close to our peak season for fall foliage along the Bay of Green Bay. Peak leaf peeping season is expected to hit the Landmark Resort around the third week in October. With the colors ever changing, this also means that you have plenty of time to book your trip to visit us and see the stunning fall colors come alive! Though you never truly know when the leaves will peak, it’s still great to see the color of the season no matter what time of the month it is. Book your trip to the Landmark Resort and see just why it’s one of the leading Egg Harbor Wisconsin hotels and resorts this harvest season! Our resort is exceptional for couples, families, and large groups, no matter who you choose to enjoy your vacation with, there is plenty to do throughout Door County and our beautiful, charming town of Egg Harbor. We hope to see you soon, frolicking through the leaves or sipping on a delicious cup of apple cider.
