Uncork & Unwind in Door County

We’re almost in the middle of November, and the weather still shows hints of Fall here in Egg Harbor. As the weather starts to get colder, head out on a wonderful wine tour to brighten your spirits. The Landmark Resort is the perfect place to stay when planning your late fall/early winter getaway.

There are eight Door County local wineries and trolley tours you can hop on before the snow starts to fly.

One of the oldest wineries in Door County is Door Peninsula Winery and a must-see on any wine tour. For over 40 years this winery has been producing one of the largest selections of Wisconsin wine. It’s interesting to note that because of the climate in Door County traditional grapes are harder to grow. This lead to the growth of a hardier fruit; cherries… and later cherry wine that is quite popular in Door County. They have now expanded their list of sweet fruit-based wines, which makes this a must see winery.

Harbor Ridge Winery is one of Door County’s newer wineries. Located in the heart of Egg Harbor, this winery has one motto; that they make, “genuine, hand-crafted products born out of passion.” Not only are they a winery, but Harbor Ridge also sell hand-crafted soap. From reds to whites and even fruit wine, you won’t go wrong trying out this fantastic winery on your getaway. The relaxing atmosphere and there’s a cheese shop right next door, Wisconsin Cheese Masters.
