Ember is chef-owned, and the kitchen rewrites its menu every week — a rotating lineup built around what's fresh, plus a few favorites that show up often enough to feel like tradition. Chef Blake Schar calls it globally inspired cuisine rooted in Cajun tradition; regulars have taken to calling it "New American," pointing to global-leaning dishes like Peruvian and tandoori chicken alongside more familiar comfort-food plates. Ember's Story

Ember opened in 2026 under Chef-Owner Blake and Lauren Schar, previously of The Fireside Restaurant and Big Easy Bagel and Beignet. Blake cooks from Cajun tradition with global influences woven throughout, pairing comforting classics with curated wines. Every dish carries that same devotion, whether you are here for a Tuesday dinner or a wedding celebration just downstairs. While Blake runs the kitchen, Lauren runs the room. She hires and trains the staff, and the welcome you get on a first visit is largely her doing. Ember is family-run, so on any given night one of their kids might be your server. Settle in at the bar, watch the sunset unfold over the water, and discover why guests return.
